I have worked as a designer and technologist for more than twenty years with positions in the United States, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands. Beginning my career as a typesetter at a start-up publishing company in Philadelphia, I went on to design trade catalogues for the ophthalmic industry in New York City, then developed an XML workflow using InDesign layout templates for the MIT Press in Cambridge, Massachusetts before moving to Hong Kong where I designed book jackets, layout templates and established automated layout and eBook workflows while working as the production manager for the Hong Kong University Press. Living in Amsterdam since 2015, I work on various challenging design and typesetting projects for individual clients as well as holding a position as an XML and ebook guru for a prominent linguistics publisher based here in the Netherlands.
